Beeswax Coated Roses for Vintage Inspired Valentine's Day Crafts

Have you ever wondered “what would happen if” when looking at a pile of craft supplies? Like, I wonder what would happen if I take these silk roses and dunk them in melted beeswax?

Will the color run? Will they just get soggy and fall apart? Or will they look kind of cool and vintage-y?

You never know until you try!

I pulled the roses off the stems. (If the rose is one piece with the stem you’ll have to clip it with wire cutters.)

Then, I pushed a wooden skewer into the hole at the back of the flower.

I melted some Yaley 100% Natural Beeswax Pellets in the microwave in a microwave safe dish.

Then I dipped the rose head into the hot wax and let the excess drip off.

I set the roses and some of the leaves on a plastic bag to dry.

Now… what to make with my great smelling (I ADORE the scent of melted beeswax!) roses? You KNOW I have something up my sleeve! 🙂
