When I got back from CHA the beginning of February I wrote a post called My CHA Update where I showed a photo of a bottle cap necklace that I really liked. Sooo I decided to give it a try… and this is what I came up with.
Here are some of the items I used:
- Die Cuts With A View Stack “Black Currant” (Such beautiful papers!)
- Crown from Jolee’s Boutique
- Floral Embellishments from Petaloo
- Heart charm and the little rhinestones … I can’t remember who they come from
- Darice Bottle caps
- Black fine point Sharpie marker
- 7mm jump rings
- Mod Podge Dimensional Magic
- Chain
I laid out my design with three different sized bottle caps from Darice and I marked on the inside of each bottle cap with a Sharpie marker where I wanted to join them together.
Then on a piece of wood I put a small hole in the side of the bottle cap with a small nail and a little hammer and joined the pieces with 7mm jump rings.
I used Mod Podge Dimensional Magic inside the bottle caps, let it dry over night and attached the whole thing to the chain which is from the Darice “Things Remembered” line.
I like this a whole bunch but I also got a sample of ICE Resin from CHA that I want to try. I’m thinking of rusted bottle caps for that one maybe. What do you think?
