I’ve been a busy little creative goddess this week crafting up all sorts of things all over the web.
What else is new? Right?
But in the end I LOVED it! :)
Isn’t it great when that happens? Be sure to check out the full review here and if you are thinking of buying the book, I’d love it if you’d purchase it through my affiliate link here. You know, so I can keep buying tea and glue and doing all that I do.
Hey, I rhymed! :)
I also received this little gal in the mail on Friday 6/30. It’s to be a part of the Original Sewing & Quilt Expo Runway Re-View exhibit. The downside is that that I received it on Friday and it was due back in the office the following Friday (today!). I had a few projects due to various manufactures for the CHA (Craft and Hobby Association) trade show coming up so I didn’t even get it in the mail until yesterday. I sent it priority mail so hopefully they’ll still accept it.
What did I do to it? Oh, you’ll have to wait a week or so for that post but I will share it with you. It didn’t turn out like I planned it in my head but it’s all good.
I’m also a part of the Susan Lenart Kazer Mixed Media Industrial Chic Blog Hop that kicks off TODAY with the fabulous Ken Oliver. You can see his project over on Vertigo Graphic. My project will be a part of the hop TOMORROW.
Here is a sneak peak of the goodies I received to create with. So very, very AWESOME!
I created this Dyed Doily and Yo-Yo Tote Bag for the Consumer Crafts sponsored blog Crafts Unleashed. You’ll be seeing this tote again in the future because I’m feeling like it’s not quite done. At least not for me. We KNOW how I really like to layer things up! I have to say that I’m madly in love with the colors I used to dye the doilies. Check out the full post and instructions here.
And in the not so crafty department… A kind of funny thing happened on the Fourth of July.
I worked pretty much all day in my studio (partly because I had a TON of work to do and partly because it was SWELTERING outside and I’m a wimp when it comes to heat) and only took time out to make some macaroni salad complete with my family recipe for Yellow Dressing and grill a couple of Italian sausages for our “BIG COOKOUT”. Lame.
So I serve dessert and my husband says, “Do you want a photo of this before I eat it? You know, for your blog.”
Yeah, that was real sweet and all but it was only angel food cake with strawberries, blueberries and a little Reddi-Whip on top. Nothing to write home, or write on my blog, about.
You know you live with a blogger when…
Well, I think that about wraps up this week. Have a safe and fun weekend and don’t forget to check back tomorrow for my Industrial Chic Blog Hop project.
